I study in the areas of social and political thought, feminist philosophy and philosophy of race. My research addresses social injustices in Western legal systems, prison reform, and gender-based violence.

I am a Postdoctoral Fellow at Dalhousie University's Clairmont Centre for Community Safety Research and a Research Fellow at the African Nova Scotian Justice Institute. In my current research project, I use a mixed-methods approach to address gaps in knowledge about Black people’s experiences in Nova Scotia's provincial correctional facilities.

I received my Ph.D. in Philosophy from Dalhousie University, MA in Philosophy from McMaster University, and BA Honours in Philosophy and Political Science from York University. I also have Project Management certifications from St. Mary's University.

Media Appearances

I have been featured in various media outlets discussing topics related to racial injustice the legal system, incarceration, policing, and gender-based violence.
